The Wayne County Board of Education Tech Center is located in the old Wayne County High School Media Center. It serves as a meeting place for Staff Development and other Special Meetings. It also houses the offices of all but one WCBOE Instructional Technology Specialist and our FTE Coordinator.

Entry into the Tech Center is from the parking lot between the Tech Center and James Bacon Elementary. Parking after lunch should remain as close as possible to the buildings due to bus traffic.

To Schedule an Event first check the availability for your event then complete the Reservation Form. Check the rooms and technologies available below the form.

 

Available Rooms: Computer Lab with or without computers; Large Multi-Purpose Room; and one small room (most hardwired and all with wireless computer network access).

Available Seating: 48 Seated at Tables; 100 without tables

Available Equipment: 10 Unit iMac OSX Lab, 10 Unit Windows XP Pro Lab, Wireless Network, Video Projector in multi-purpose room and computer lab, Large Multi-Purpose Room Computer with wired internet access includes DVD capability and a wireless presentation mouse, Professional Sound with either lapel or wireless handheld mic as options, and a podium with a mic wired into the sound system.

Available Services: Customized Staff Development Training, Video Tape Your Event/Training for DVD or VHS
